My dear People of God
Grace and Peace be with you all.
Thank you
We place on record our indebtedness to you all for making our Diocesan Family Day a novel day it was.
We thank you for your resounding sacrificial giving. It touched me to the core bearing in mind the economic climate we are in exacerbated by the continued petrol rise. We thank the Archdeacon of Mzimvubu :
- for hosting us,
- for feeding us from their God-given generosity and
- for the leadership of Archdeacon Mzu, the Archdeaconry Clergy and the Laos.
We indeed celebrated our Familihood and the 140 years of our faithful witness as Christians in this Region. It was indeed heart-warming to see such a multitude of God's people meeting to hear the word and the breaking of Bread.
DIOCESAN CHOIR
Our most celebrated, renowned Diocesan Choir has done it again. This time they are flying, as our Ambassadors, to compete in Israel with world's choirs at international stage. They will be a centre of attraction being the only Black Choir representing our Mother Continent. We commend them to God who alone gives us the will to love and worship Him as our only God. Our Diocese will yet again be on the map. Praise God.
DIOCESAN CONFERENCES
The Author of the Book of the Hebrews exhorts us, his readers, that we should not give up on meeting as Christians. It pleases the heart of Jesus to see us meeting for Conferences as we have done thus far. They have all been inspiring and taking us a step forward as pilgrim children of God. I have been personally blessed to be part of such strong worshipping events. We thank most profusely the hostesses.
ORDINATION OF FATHER MBOPA
The ordination of Fr Mbopa was yet another event. What made it more unique was the fact that it was the first ordination ever conducted at Mqanduli let alone at a new Parish such as St Stephen's Kwaaiman. Again we thank Archdeacon Beni and the entire Archdeaconry for bidding us welcome and for their hospitality. Thank you Diocese of Mthatha for who you are. We love you.
