Poem by Rev A.M. Mabindla

        Oh! What a NATION.
Something wrong here needs attention,
Something wrong here needs correction,
Let's get things right here
Let's put life in its own perspective.

Don't we all have rights?
Don't we all have right to life?
If yes! Why then?  Why this killing?
What has happened to our conscious?

Why this rape?
Why this robbery?
Have we now buried the spirit of Ubuntu?
Why do we have to be bribed before offering assistance?

Is this a reflection of a Nation?
Do we qualify to call ourselves a Nation?
Whose Nation is this?
Are we treating each other as brothers and sisters?

Can we open our houses for all?
Can we leave our cars unlocked?
Church! What is your role?
Voice of the voiceless, why quiet?

Why discrimination all over?
Why discriminating the rich and the poor?
Can't we all share together what God has given us?
Why can't we live together in peace?
His blood does not have color.

Is it difficult to trust each other?
Why such a division in families?
Why such a division in work places?
Why such a division in Church?
Where do we go from here?

If heaven is a reality, why can't we live right?
Why can't we forgive each other and bury the past?
Where have we buried that agape love?
Are we living a purposeful life?

Surely we were not created to treat each other like this.
Let's make Him proud of us?
Yes! Let us ask Him to restore that trust and love.
Transformation is a reality and it is possible.

God help us.
