St. Cecelia's Day

The archdeaconry choirs of the diocese gathered in the cathedral on Saturday 22nd November to celebrate St. Cecelia's Day. After a Eucharist service conducted by Bishop Mzamane, during which the choirs sang Ngcwele from the Zulu Mass in B, the Winterburg choir sang The Glorious Work from Haydn's Creation. After a song from the Tsolo choir, winners of the Large section in the September choir competition, the massed female voices from all the choirs sang Lift Thine Eyes by Medelssohn followed by a performance by the massed male voices.
