Diocesan Choir Outreach
The Diocesan Choir held its annual outreach on 30th November 2014 at the Epiphany parish in Port St. John's. After a Eucharist service conducted by Ven. M. Mdunyelwa, three of the poorest families in the Archdeaconry of Mzimvubu were given generous supplies of groceries as well as clothing and linen. The Mzanwya family was also given beds, a lounge suite and a fridge.
Rooted in Jesus
From 16th to 18th October 2014 a workshop was held for Sunday School teachers and coordinators from across the diocese. It was conducted by two provincial officers leading the Rooted in Jesus initiative. The workshop was organised by Rev. Bulelwa Sihlali as part of her Growing the Church mission. At the end of the workshop all the participants were given a certificate of completion and copies of the two Rooted in Jesus Junior handbooks.
Combined Youth Conference
On 11th October 2014 the combined Youth Conference was held at St. Bartholomew parish Corana. It was well attended by members of GFS, BFS, Anglican Youth of Southern Africa (AYSA) and Sunday School.The new executive committee of AYSA was invested by Bishop Sitembele.
